Little Brown Eyed Girl...

Little Honey Bea is finally ready to head to find a new home!
She's 11" tall with tan skin and pretty brown eyes.  Her Tibetan lambskin hair is a lovely cream that's long enough for a variety of fun styles!

Honey is currently available via a comment style listing on my Facebook page that can be found here.   Comments are open until Wednesday, April 17th at 9:00pm Eastern.   Her price is $240 plus USPS Priority shipping.

Here she is reading with her friend Louisa Elaine, who will be available a bit later.

Sweet Ethel is ready for a home

I just love finishing a doll.  Checking them over one last time, carefully dressing them for the photos and then finally... sharing them for the first time with all of you!

Ethel took me a little longer than I expected.  Sometimes they just surprise me that way.  I don't mind though, it just means she got to stay here and visit with me for a bit longer before I send her off to her new home.

When I first started putting her together, I wasn't sure about the color of her hair.  It wasn't the very palest pink color that I had originally intended.  But now that she's done, I wouldn't change it for anything.  It's just the right shade of pink for Ethel.  She's got rosy cheeks, lovely pink hair and a little red smile that I just adore.   Oh, and freckles!  Lots of tiny freckles.

Sweet Ethel will be in my Etsy store tonight, March 24th, at 7:00pm Eastern.

Little Bijou Heads Home

Is it silly to hope that dressing the dolls in bright Spring colors will help push all this cold weather away and usher Spring in a bit faster?   It certainly doesn't feel like March right now in Indiana!  I'm ready for spring flowers, short sleeves, sandals and playing outside without spending an hour bundling everyone up!

However, the little ones aren't quite as anxious to be rid of all this snow as I am.

Little Bijou is finally dressed and ready to start the trip to her new home in Canada.   She's wearing her new Spring dress with pink and orange crochet Mary Jane's and little striped cotton leggings.

I can't help but feel a little sad packing my dolls up after they're sold.  We've spent quite a few hours together after all.  But it is a bit exciting knowing that wherever they're going, they're hopefully going to put a big smile on someones face when they open up their box.

Back to Work...

The past few weeks have been a little on the crazy side here at Millie's Dollhouse.  There's not been much time for stitching up pretty dolls or clothing.  Just this week though I've finally gotten back into the swing of things and have really enjoyed working on a few custom projects.

Here's a little peek at what I've been working on the last few days.

Little Bijou, an 11" custom doll who is still shivering in her birthday suit, waiting for me to make her something to wear to her new home.

Pretty pajamas.

Simple and sweet black cotton Mary Jane's.
A pink dottie dress to coordinate a with little girls dress.
My first request for a purple and green outfit with a cozy wool jacket.

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  I had a lovely visit from my father who lives out of state and made the trip down to Indiana to spend a few days with us.  This morning though, while all three kids were at school, I had a chance to spend a bit of time alone with my dad.  We dropped the little one off at preschool, then went out to breakfast and spent the rest of the morning doing something that we both love.....wandering through antique stores.   We had just enough time afterwards to stop at the bakery for these pretty little cakes before picking the kids back up from school.   Poor Dorrie, she had such a hard time choosing which one she liked best!

Now that he's gone back home it's time to get back to work sewing!  I'm finishing up a bit more clothing and a custom doll next week, with plans for quite a few RTG dolls following that.
I've also been working on a few new clothing patterns for the new year and so far I'm quite happy with the result.  I have a few more ideas floating around that I can't wait to bring to life when I find the time!

Thank you so much for stopping by Millie's Dollhouse!

The Doc is in!

This little doll took me quite some time to finish.  I would start and then stop and then go work on something else for a bit, and then come back to her.
She was very patient and in the end she turned out just how I was hoping!

She is inspired by my daughter's favorite character, who is always there to help her friends and offer a kind word or a hug.   She's 15" tall and comes with her two outfits, her doctor's jacket, her medical bag containing her bandages, gauze rolls and stethoscope, and of course her sparkly crochet Mary Jane's and little cotton dottie undies.

She's perfect for snuggling and playing and can't wait to find her new home!

Doc will be available for sale via an auction in my Hyena Cart shop starting tonight at 8:00pm and ending tomorrow, 2/7 at 10:00pm Eastern time.    You can find the listing for her auction here:  Doc's Auction
